The story behind the success.
The Killyhevlin Hotel is an indigenous hotel brand in Northern Ireland and has been owned and managed by the Watson family since 1976. Over the years, through dedication and ambition, the Watson family have successfully positioned the hotel as one of Northern Ireland's premier 4 star hotels.
By 2004, what had been a relatively safe and stable market for the hotel had become increasingly competitive. And so, The Killyhevlin Hotel embarked on a major expansion and rebranding initiative. The hotel saw opportunities to enhance its facilities, enter the Spa and Health Club market and improve online booking facilities. From this, the Killyhevlin Hotel's vision was born: to be recognised as a premier 4 Star family hotel providing the finest in Irish hospitality with both style and excellence. Realistic about the scale and the cost of the project in hand, the Killyhevlin Hotel adopted a two-phase approach.
2004 saw the completion of phase one; the addition of 27 new hotel guestrooms, Silks Restaurant, a luxury new Health Club and Elemis Spa, complete with swimming pool. With business levels having exceeded all expectations and room occupancy levels at an all time high, phase two went live. Phase two saw the fit out of the Riverside Conference Suite in 2006 and the completion of an extensive redesign programme to the Lisgoole Function Suite in 2007.
The Killyhevlin Hotel is certainly benefiting from its most successful redevelopment campaign to date with the hotel having become one of Northern Ireland's top 4 star hotel's. Such acclaim was confirmed in 2007 when the hotel was voted 2nd in UTV’s Ultimate Ulster Top Ten Hotels as voted by over 10,000 UTV viewers. Another measure of success is the Lisgoole Function Suite becoming one of Fermanagh’s most sought after wedding venues.
